What to expect
This page is designed to help you prepare your child to come to one of our sessions. Our aim is to create an environment where children on their spectrum and their siblings can come and have fun whilst parents rcan relax, share with others and hear from a range of visiting experts.
We meet at the Percy Centre in the middle of Bath. This is what the building looks like from the outside. If you come by car you might have a short walk to get here as there isn't anywhere to park next to the building. Our sessions last from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
When you arrive you will come in through automatic sliding doors and into the foyer. This where we set up our PlayStation with a range of games including MineCraft and FIFA for you to play on
On the left is the main room we use. At the far end is a seating area where parents/carers can sit and chat and meet with experts who know a lot about autism. Nearer the camera is our craft table where you can try making things. Some examples of some easter chicks we made recently are below left and below right you can see the other end of the room where there is a kitchen. Here you can get a drink and a biscuit and the person who brought you can get some tea or coffee.
We also run lots of sports activities. Sometimes these are in the sports hall upstairs and, if the weather is good, we also use the outdoor court. Our coach brings a mixture of different activities to try.
